Five Regional Theatres Awarded $100,000 Each Through American Theatre Wing's National Theatre Company Grants
In a bold move to champion regional theatres and the vital contributions they make to American culture, the American Theatre Wing (ATW) has unveiled the five recipients of its esteemed National Theatre Company Grants program. The selected companies are Breaking Wave Theatre Company in Guam, Two River Theater in Red Bank, New Jersey, Goat in the Road Productions in New Orleans, Louisiana, City Theatre in Miami, Florida, and Shabach Enterprise/Fade To Black in Houston, Texas.
This initiative emphasizes that grants must specifically benefit regional venues and focus on the works created by American playwrights.
